Jabra introduced its third generation of true wireless earbuds, the Elite 65t and Elite Active 65, which it said provides a consistently stable wireless connection and up to 15 hours of battery life.
Introduced at the CES 2018, the new earbuds extend the Elite range which started with the Jabra Elite Sport. The devices were developed with a focus on the voice experience, delivering superior audio quality for calls and music.
The Elite 65t is designed for everyday use with strong connectivity and battery life rated at 15 hours (with the cradle) and five hours of continuous listening time on one charge. It has a four-microphone configuration with an optimised acoustic chamber to enable advanced noise suppression and voice enhancement. It comes with a built-in equaliser that can be accessed via the Jabra Sound+ app. It comes with a two-year warranty. It will be available in lead colour Black/Gunmetal; Black/Copper; and Light/Neutral.
The Elite Active 65t has similar features with the addition of durability (IP56 against sweat, water and dust) for use in training and sports environment, a special coating for better grip and accelerometer for tracking. It also offers five hours of listening time on one charge and comes with a two-year warranty. It will be available in Navy/Copper.
The existing Elite Sport has biometric features and a higher durability rating of IP67 and comes with a three-year warranty against sweat.
“This is a whole new range of superior sound products, based on our vast knowledge and customer feedback from earlier true wireless generations,” said René Svendsen-Tune, CEO, Jabra. “The Jabra Elite 65t has unique microphone positioning that ensures the best voice and music interactions on the market, as well as signature sound, voice capabilities and interaction support. It is already a category leader, winning the CES Innovation Award.”
The new products support voice commands for all major voice services, including Amazon Alexa-on-the-go. “With Jabra’s earbuds and Alexa, customers can ask Alexa thousands of things while on-the-go,” said Pete Thompson, vice president, Amazon Alexa. “Customers can find and play music while on a run, check the news on their commute, manage their to-do list, and more, simply by asking Alexa.”
The Jabra Elite 65t will be available from March 2018 in selected retailers at RM799 while the Elite Active 65t will be available early May 2018 in selected retailers at RM899.
