Philips Monitors’ Asia Pacific brand licensing partner, MMD, has introduced three new Philips monitor models: the largest curved monitor and two additions to the E-line range.
The BDM4037UW is the largest curved monitor in the market to date and the first of its kind. It delivers UltraClear 4K ultra HD (UHD) resolution of 3840 x 2160. This level of detail is well-suited for graphics professionals such as photographers and 3D animators, and also financiers working on massive spreadsheets, said MMD in a statement.
The monitor’s MultiView feature allows up to four simultaneous input sources onscreen, each in Full HD resolution. Users can open four applications at once or view four security cameras simultaneously.
The monitor supports HDMI 2.0 for extremely high-quality digital video (up to True 4K/UHD resolution at 60Hz. It can be connected to two laptops for collaborative teamwork. Other key features include Ultra Wide-colour, VA (vertical alignment) display panel with wide viewing angles (up to 178 degrees), flicker-free technology and SmartImage.
Philip’s Ultra Wide-Colour feature delivers a wider spectrum of colours for a more vivid and realistic-looking picture, such as more natural greens, strong reds and deep blues. SmartImage are preset optimised display settings such as Office, Photo, Movie, Game, Economy and more, with differing levels of contrast, colour saturation and sharpness.
The monitor is priced at RM2,699 and will be available from April 2017.
This 32-inch display offers Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080) allowing users to watch movies like a desktop home cinema, enjoy deeper immersion in gaming, or multitask more effectively at work. It features a slim design with a subtle but distinct glossy finish.
Other features include IPS (in-plane switching) Display Panel with wide viewing angles, flicker-free technology, HDMI connectivity, SmartImage Lite and SmartContrast which automatically adjusts screen backlight intensity to complement onscreen content.
The monitor is priced at RM999 and will be available from April 2017.
This 27-inch display has a 1800R curve to create a subtle immersion effect, increase focus and reduce eye strain, partly because it is easier for the eye to track images on the sides of the screen. It also comes with Ultra Wide-colour, VA display panel with wide viewing angles, flicker-free technology, AMD FreeSync for Gamers, SmartImage Lite and SmartContrast.
